For electricians, performing box cuts into drywall is a simple enough job. After all, a good fine tooth saw, or blade can make short work of the drywall. However, measuring out a single box socket takes time to get right for the cut needs to be accurately measured, plotted and cut.
That is why, SMART came up with the SMART Trade Series 75mm Boxcutter. It is a simple multi-tool attachment that can easily plunge cut into drywall, leaving a perfectly sized 75mm square cut. This is the perfect size for socket boxes. For those worried that a multi-tool box blade will result in inaccurate work due to the vibrations driving the blade up the wall, do not worry, SMART have considered that in the design.
Instead of being completely flat, two sides of the box cutter bow outwards so that they make contact with the drywall first. This immediate insertion keeps the rest of the box blade steady as the user plunges it in. This results in a perfect box cut every time.
As part of the SMART Trade Series, the SMART 75mm Drywall Box Cutter is equipped with a universal open back fitment. This means it is compatible with most common multi-tools. SMART has a full range of drywall solutions available. We also have a circular hole saw which can deliver similar convenient results to the boxcutter but for piping and cables.
